Signed Estimates & Contracts
Your Signed Estimate Is the Agreement
In ServeHub, the estimate your customer signs is the agreement. There is no separate contract to create, and no New contract button in the dashboard.
- Open the estimate and send it. Your customer gets a link by email or text.
- They review the line items, type their name and draw their signature.
- You get a notification, the estimate moves to Accepted, and a draft invoice is created for you to review and send.
- Open the estimate to see who signed, when, the signature itself, the IP address and, if they allowed it, the location. Open signed page shows what your customer sees.
If Your Account Already Has Contracts
Contracts are a legacy feature. Existing ones stay on the customer's page, where you can open them.
On the web, one case still creates new ones: if your account has a saved contract template, accepting an estimate also creates a draft contract from it. With no template, nothing extra is created, so most customer pages have no Contracts section even when an estimate is signed.
Working From an Existing Contract
Send signing request: While the contract is unsigned, this emails or texts your customer the link to sign it. They type their name and draw their signature, and ServeHub emails them a signed PDF copy.
Download PDF: Saves the contract once its PDF exists.
Invite to portal: Appears while the contract is unsigned and the customer has an email and no login.
Send deposit invoice: Appears once a contract that came from an estimate is signed.
Create job: Appears once that contract has a deposit invoice, if it has no job yet.
