Estimate Widget

What Is the Estimate Widget?

The Estimate Widget is an embeddable calculator that lets website visitors get an instant price estimate for your services. It captures their contact information and creates a lead in your CRM automatically.

How it works: Visitors select a service, enter details (like property size or job scope), and receive a ballpark estimate. Their contact details are captured so you can follow up.

Where to find it: Go to Service templates in the sidebar and scroll to the Website Estimate Widget panel below the list.

Lead creation: Every widget submission creates a new customer record with the visitor's name, email, phone, address, and the estimate details.

Embedding on Your Website

Add the estimate calculator to any website by copying an embed code or linking directly to your hosted widget page.

  1. Edit each service you want offered and tick Show in website estimate widget. The widget appears once at least one service is ticked.
  2. Go to Service templates and scroll to the Website Estimate Widget panel.
  3. Copy the embed code (an iframe snippet) or the direct link. Preview widget opens it exactly as a visitor sees it.
  4. Paste the embed code into your website's HTML where you want the calculator to appear.

Tip: Place the widget on your homepage or a dedicated "Get a Quote" page for maximum visibility. You can also share the direct link on social media or in emails.

Configuring Services & Pricing

Control which services appear in the widget and how prices are calculated.

Selecting services: Each service template carries its own Show in website estimate widget tick box, on the service's edit page. Only ticked services are shown to visitors.

Flat-rate pricing: Set the service's measure type to flat and it is quoted at its price per unit, once, whatever the job size. Best for a standard call-out, inspection or consultation.

Variable pricing: Set the measure type to area, length or count and the widget asks the visitor for a quantity in your unit. The line is simply price per unit × quantity, and it updates as they type.

No floor or ceiling: There is no minimum or maximum price setting — the widget shows whatever your per-unit price and the visitor's quantity produce. If a very small or very large number would embarrass you, keep that service out of the widget and follow up by hand.

Satellite Measurement

For services priced by area, the widget can ask the visitor to measure the property on a satellite map instead of typing a square-foot number they are guessing at.

Turning it on: Edit a service template, set its measure type to area, and tick Enable satellite measurement. The map step appears in the widget as soon as one widget service has it.

What the visitor does: After they enter their project address, a satellite map opens on that address. They click to place points around the area, double-click to close the shape, and the widget shows the total in square feet.

Applying it: They click Apply Measurement & Continue and the measured area fills the quantity for the area-priced services. The outline they drew is saved with the estimate request.

Junk removal works differently: if your business type is junk or trash collection, the widget replaces the service list with a photo upload — the visitor sends up to five photos of the items to be hauled and AI prices the load. That photo pricing needs a Plus or Pro plan, and without one the widget falls back to manual entry. No other trade's widget has a photo upload, and nothing in ServeHub measures a property from a photo.

Customer Capture & Lead Creation

Every widget submission captures the visitor's contact information and creates a lead in your CRM for follow-up.

Required fields: The widget collects the visitor's name, email, phone number, and service address before showing the estimate.

Automatic lead: A new customer record is created in ServeHub with all the submitted details, including the estimated price and selected service.

Notification: You receive an email notification for each new widget submission so you can follow up promptly.

A draft estimate, already written: The submission also creates a draft estimate for that customer, with a section per service they picked. Open it under Estimates, correct the numbers, and send it.
